All About Fall

I decided to dedicate an entire post to my love of this wonderful season.

A source of inspiration

Ariana Grande posted this on her Instagram story and I thought it was a really nice way to start out a new season. I like to try to journal a few nights a week to clear my head, practice my writing, and help me sleep, so I am definitely going to do this soon to inspire myself for this month!

Fall foods and drink and movies

Every night, I end my day with a mug of herbal tea. Lately, I have been loving cinnamon apple spice herbal tea. It helps me sleep and is a nice warm, cozy drink before bed. Turn on Hocus Pocus, light a white pumpkin candle, and snuggle in bed. In the morning, my mom treats me to protein packed pancakes. Something about pancakes always screams fall to me, so this is always a nice Sunday morning treat before work.

The Shining is one of my favorite movies. I also like Halloween, Hocus Pocus, The Sixth Sense, The Conjuring, Donnie Darko, The Babadook, Get Out, and Creep. I will pretty much watch any scary movie once, as I don't scare easily. Not talking scary movies for fall, I love When Harry Met Sally and all of the Harry Connick Jr. songs in it, and my mom and I's guilty pleasure are the fall Hallmark movies.

Fall baking is also lots of fun. This season is all about pumpkin spice, chai, and cinnamon, but soon, Christmas will be here (for us, we start celebrating Christmas after Halloween) and it will be time for sugar cookies, peppermint mocha, and hot chocolate. I am so excited that my favorite season is here!

New things

We got a new coffee and ice cream shop in Bay St. Louis right next door to the shop that I work in! This could be bad for my bank account & health, but I am excited to see new businesses prosper in our city.

Amongst baking and watching scary movies today, we have also been decorating for Halloween. This makes me happy, as I love to see fall decor in my house to truly get in the spirit! We'll be making a trip to the pumpkin patch soon as well.

This post was kinda random, but I just love fall and I hope everyone's October is going well so far!
