After a long day, I absolutely LOVE taking a long bath. It's one of the small pleasures in life that I thoroughly enjoy, so I wanted to share my tips for taking a bath.

1. Fill up the tub with warm to hot water
2. Wash your face. I like to use a gentle cleansing wash like a Philosophy foaming cleanser with my Clairsonic, or a charcoal wash. After you've washed your face of all the day's impurities, apply a face mask or pore strip if you please. I like applying these to sit on my face while I'm in the tub so that they have time to do their job, and I can relax! I use a variety of different face masks, and try to do them around 3 times a week.

3. Turn on a fan and bring a large glass of ice water into the bathroom with you. Can't stress this enough. It's vital you stay cool and hydrated during your bath so that you can actually enjoy yourself!
4. Throw some bath salts/bubble bath into the tub while it's still running so that they can bubble up enough!
5. Get a book or something to do (while I'm in the tub I like to completely disconnect for about an hour to fully de-stress), towel, a waterproof speaker (I love to listen to music in the tub while I read. My favorites are the Lush Lofi or Jazz Vibes playlists on Spotify.), and whatever else you need for your perfect pamper session!

6. Candles are also super nice if you want to set a special mood. Light those, and hop on in!
7. Put your feet out if you get too hot.

8. Relax...this is YOU time.
9. When you feel fully renewed, let the water out, then bathe or take a shower, so you can actually get clean haha. Also, you can explain this to people when they say "I hate baths! You sit in your own filth!" well...they just may not understand the pleasure of bath time.

10. Lastly, apply your lotion, hair mask, hair oil, moisturizer, toner, face serum, whatever you please! My hair is super wavy and coarse, so I don't wash it every night. Instead, I put it up for bath time and then brush it out and apply my Urban Hydration hair oil infused with Jamaican castor oil. When I do wash my hair, I use shampoo and conditioner of the same brand, then apply WEN deep conditioner, rinse with cold water, and apply curl cream to tame my curls and frizz! My favorite face serum right now is rose hip oil that helps a lot with hydration and acne scars.

So...this is how I do bath time! I hope that you'll enjoy my tips and relish with me in my nightly ritual!
