My Review of Glossier's Solution

Serious magic.

I always love the packaging Glossier provides. Totally "Insta-worthy"!

Hello, and happy October! I love the start of a new month, this one in particular, as it marks my birthday month, and the start of the "real" fall season where I live, as it still doesn't get quite cold. However, I love October because of the occasional fall leaf that does appear on the ground, the movies, candles, foods, smells, etc. Also the idea of a new season in general signals to me that changes are about to happen, literally and figuratively.

To add a bit of change to my skincare routine and practice even better self care for me, I ordered Glossier's solution a little over a week ago, and I have been using it everyday, twice daily. It claims to change your skin in four weeks, but I have already seen a change after only one week. I usually am pretty thrifty with my skincare products, so this one, costing only $24, was a steal. I kept hearing so much about it on every beauty blog I follow, so, I decided to order it and give it a try. While I was at it, I bought another tube of the birthday cake balm dot com since I lost mine. I recommend this hydrating and delicious smelling lip salve as well!

So, to use the solution, I apply it once in the morning after cleansing, and in the evening after cleaning and doing a mask. It comes packaged with a handy pump dispenser, so one pump with a cotton ball or cotton round does the trick. I swipe it all over my face, and instantly, I can feel a tingle. I let it soak into my skin for a few seconds, and my face feels so clean and like all of the grime from the day is cleared out. This makes sense, as this exfoliator is made with three different acids (don't worry, they're all safe for your skin) that work to slough away dead skin cells from your face, both on the surface, and buried deep within your skin that your cleanser did not handle.

After giving the solution a moment to soak into my skin, it feels firm and ready for the next step in my skincare routine. I apply my eye cream, serum, and moisturizer, and all three of these formulas soak immediately into my skin, and I know that this is because of the solution. I suppose, and I am no science buff, that since the surface of my skin is truly cleansed and exfoliated, these products can better soak through my clean pores. On days when I am planning to wear makeup, I apply the solution directly before and after cleansing, and my makeup stays in place and does not get oily AT ALL! Usually around mid-day, my makeup makes my face look and feel super oily and disgusting I just want to take it off. With the solution applied before, my skin stays normal and my makeup stays in place. I barely need to use a blotting pad! I would highly recommend purchasing Glosser's solution. My skin is clearer, brighter, smoother, and overall feels so much cleaner everyday. Click on the image above to be linked to the product :).
